Coffee is a drink made from roasted coffee beans. Beans are obtained from the cherries of the coffee tree that grow in tropical and subtropical mountain areas. It comes from Ethiopia and came to Europe in the 17th century, the first cafe was opened in Venice in 1645.

Coffee has an encouraging effect on the human body. The best known species are arabica (Coffea Arabica) and robusta (Coffea canephora). Arabica is genetically richer, has 44 chromosomes, robusta has only 22 chromosomes. This means that arabica can have a more varied spectrum of flavors (up to 1500), robusta is poorer in taste (400 tastes, like wine) and does not contain acidity – fruity flavors. Arabica grows in higher mountains (800-2200 m), robusta grows in lower mountains (0-900 m) is more resistant to pests. Arabica due to growth at higher altitudes contains less caffeine (0.8-1.5%), robusta contains more caffeine (1.7-3.5%). Caffeine prevents the plant against pests, therefore coffee growing around 1700-2200 m.n.m. contains at least caffeine.

We made our desire to make people of the highest quality available to people by establishing the Gold Bean Coffee Roastery, where we roast coffees of origin and blends. Coffee originated from farmers who have managed to grow and sort out coffee of exceptional quality and have been paid for it more than they pay in fairtrade. Each year, these coffees have other exceptional tastes – like fruits and are useful for enriching the varied flavor of coffee. Coffee blends are blended from 6 to 9 coffees based on people’s taste preferences and are suitable for everyday drinking.
